Such a funny picture! I’m not an expert in all things grammar, but isn’t it “Let me lie here”? Yes, that’s our first reaction. But when we’re done with being reactive, our proactive response should be “Next!”
One of my past professions was working for an art publisher, selling art over the phone to busy gallery owners. I made hundreds of phone calls a day. Surprisingly, they were usually nice to me, even when they were too busy to talk. If they weren’t too busy, after I tried to verbally paint the new image for them over the phone, 99% of them said “No.” We had a saying in the sales office. “Smile and Dial.” I think it translates to the writing world.
What’s next after rejection? Send your work to someone else. Start a new novel. Learn something new. Go for a bike ride. Pick yourself up out of the mud, Little Elephant. Smile and Dial! That’s how you find the 1% that will say “Yes!”

Oh. Yes. I feel you, buddy.
LOVE it!
Have a wonderful weekend, all you SL folk!
Blessings,
Becky
Funny, but isn’t the verb supposed to be “lie”? Just let me lie here?
Hahaha!!! I love this!
Love it! Too cute!
Haha! That’s totally me!
We’ve all been there, haven’t we?
I’ve had days like that! Fortunately they don’t come by too often.
This totally nails the feeling–a feeling I’m too-well acquainted with.
