Tomorrow IS an epic day. My kids celebrate Pi Day at their school every year. And they get t-shirts in the deal. This year’s shirts have “SUPER PI” on the front (picture Superman insignia with the pi symbol), and on the back they have the date and time you specified.
So fun!

And Dads! Don’t forget to use this to connect with your kids. The “Pi Second” is one of those great sharable/teachable/memorable moments.
Also wake them for any lunar eclipse. Drag them outside to see double rainbows. Count the rings in tree stumps. And stop when you’re raking leaves to ask them why geese fly over in “V” formation.
BTW: I just heard why one side of the “V” is always longer than the other . . . do you know why?
It’s because there are more geese in it.

Ok- I will celebrate with alas a piece of pie. Hehe…

I’m glad you mentioned this! I heard this was coming but forgot and would’ve missed it.
I recommend celebrating Pi Day with a slice of pie. I had a college professor who used to hold calculus study sessions at a place known for good pie, and called the event Pi^2 (Pi squared). He was one of the most popular professors on campus, which wasn’t surprising considering it was the kind of college where football cheers included chanting “three point one four one five nine” and the most popular annual social event was the 24 hour science fiction movie marathon. 🙂

Saw this post about half an hour before it arrived here (in New Zealand). I don’t want to disappoint anybody but, no one actually gives you a piece of pie when the time arrives.
Sorry for the spoiler.
Other than that it was a pretty cool thing to note this with my 11 year old.

Lisa,
I think you can fix the lack of pie with a quick trip to the local grocer and make a day of it with the family.
As Randy suggested above…make it an event!
