There are some things that have no price
and are simply given away.
We could ever-winning roll craps’ dice
and never be able to pay.
One of these is clearly love,
which can’t be bought or sold,
and its worth stand far above
the purest refiner’s gold.
And then there’s our eternal fate,
where we’ll forever dwell;
passing through the Pearly Gate
or burning down in Hell.
The only way that we could seek
to avoid the ravening flames
is taking the gift of a turned cheek
and our Blood-writ names.
We live in a holy-given Grace
which awaits our free embrace.
