There are many songs I’ve heard
but that I just can’t name,
flirting like a small grey bird
to depart my head in shame,
for they left no impression
beyond a pleasant melody,
an interlude digression
that ends in anonymity.
And thus are people I have known,
recalled voices, faces too,
but names are washed from my life-stone,
leaving not the faintest clue
of identity they shared
about which I now wish I’d cared.
Andrew, once again your gift for pulling aside the fluff and exposing what matters, what is most valuable takes us to the heart of one of the top priorities for our lives – building and holding relationships. Thank you.
Karen, thank YOU. I’m honoured by your words.
Someone has an immense amount of time to set that up and play! And a whole lot of talent.
My five-year-old daughter is in love with those videos! They are fun to watch.
Have a fun weekend, everyone! The beginning of February… What shall it bring?
Cool.
Thank you.
1) ‘Entrance of the Gladiators’ by Julius Fučík
2) ‘The Entertainer’ by Scott Joplin
3) ‘Nutcracker Suite’ by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky
Obscure no more…
You beat me to it 🙂
me too.
I love it!
I continually have songs in my mind, I start humming and have no idea the name or what book it is in (we have published 1000’s of songs)!
This is a pleasant reminder that I am not alone!!!
Thank you!!
