Since this is the week when those of us in the United State celebrate Thanksgiving, I thought I’d take a moment to say a few words of gratitude.

It would take a rather long time to go through each name (you can look at the list here). But I do want to thank each one of you for being part of our agency. You all amaze me. Collectively, you create almost seven million published words each year. It is a privilege to play a role in helping those words get out into the marketplace where they can change the world.

Without the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we would be a people without hope. At one time many of us lived without that hope (Ephesians 2:12). But by the grace of God I am with Christ, through Christ, and in Christ. Soli Deo Gloria.

I thank you and your colleagues, Steve. Like Ruth in the Bible, I’ve gleaned more than a basket of tidbits! I’ve carried away solid building blocks for the foundation of my writing ministry, glorious artwork to adorn the walls of my imagination, and the music of laughter to fill my soul.
Thanks back to you, Steve. The integrity, wisdom and encouragement you share with all of us is much appreciated. The “Laube Lobby Time” at Blue Ridge Christian Writers Conference is a great example of what you shower over all of us. Your humor and encouragement given in such a significant way during those late nights show how much you care about us. We are fortunate to have you, whether we get to have your agency represent us or not. Thanks, Steve.

Oh my goodness, this made me cry and I’m not sure why. Maybe because in a jaded, and often cruel world, there are still so many genuinely good and kind people. And you are one, Steve. Having met you at several events, I know this post isn’t just words, but you truly mean them.

I came late to the game, choosing to write only after I retired. Most days I am excited and there’s not enough hours in the day to get all my words on paper. Some days I’m not so excited. But, five mornings a week the first thing I do is check my e-mail for your daily tidbits. They always lift me up and encourage me to go forward. The Word shines through you.
