I had hoped to let yesterday’s post put much of my thoughts to rest on the issue of e-books…at least for a while.
But today I came across this article “What Amazon Didn’t Say About E-Books” by David Carnoy for CNET. In the article he makes some very strong statements regarding Amazon’s claim of reaching a “tipping point” with regard to Kindle sales and its impact on e-book sales.
Do yourself a favor and read the article.
Then vow to lay it all aside for the rest of the Summer and write your book!
And no, the picture for this post is not our cat. I simply found the picture and thought it might get your attention. Feel free to submit your own caption for the photo in the comment section.

What an adorable cat! I don’t know how it allowed that green hat to be placed on him or her. It looks like it’s the outer part of some kind of melon. So,I thought of a caption which takes into account the reuse of items, recycling and other “green” practices promoted in our world today. I think of this feline like a Garfield type cat that is suffering the sometimes bizarre, unusual and mortifying behavior of its owners or “human family.”
I think this thinking green thing has just gone a bit too far, sigh.

That pic is so funny! Very nice, Steve, very nice. And the comments gave me good laugh–great job everyone. I must throw my 2 cents caption in:
“I’m just biding my time until me and my kind take over the planet. AND, we would have by now, if not for Bob Barker and his whole spay/neuter campaign. That guy really set us back.”
