Today’s Fun Friday is a bit more educational, but still fun!
Learn, in three minutes, how wool goes from a sheep to your sweater and the ingenious processes that go into it.
Much like all the various parts of making a book, it takes a lot of work and many smart people involved in the process.
Enjoy!

This is a beautiful metaphor for our Great Shepherd. We, as sheep and unique children, are intricately designed in unique ways to Glorify and Magnify His Creation.

And to think at one time this process was done by hand. I have a new appreciation for wool products.
Thank you for posting.

Wool is fire-retardant and water-repellent. Wool does not absorb moisture, it adsorbs it. Merino wool is one of those rare products that if it gets damp, it generates heat as it dries. It’s like wearing and electric blanket.

It’s like wearing an electric blanket, not wearing and electric blanket. Sorry about that.

When we lived in Wisconsin, we took up cross-country skiing in an effort to fight back against the very long, very cold winters. We were advised to wear wool clothing next to our skin while skiing because wool allowed the sweat to evaporate through the material better than other fabrics. Worked perfectly. Thank the Lord for sheep.

Fascinating!! All those machines, too. Interesting how each step used to be done by hand.

As a native Idahoan, I’ve encountered many sheep over the years. Their wool sometimes is an unappreciated gift from God. Wouldn’t it be neat if the sheep could see what their wool produces?

Fascinating, and I love the analogy to writing. Later this month, when I attend ACFW for the first time and meet with seasoned editors and agents, I’ll welcome their expertise as they appraise my fleece.

I really enjoyed this!!!
I make baby caps and mitten socks, buying endless supplies of baby yarn!
My hope is to encourage the dear parents of coming babies to receive this special gift of life from the heart of our Father in heaven!!!
And now I can marvel over the way the yarn is made available!!! Also from the heart of our loving heavenly Father!!
We are all in this wonderful project of life together! Hallelujah!!!

Awesome! So glad I watched. No one, ever again, can pull the wool over my eyes.
