My first release, Fabrication of Gallium Arsenide Devices, has been languishing in sales of late. Although it’s a how-to nonfiction, it’s set in a semiconductor cleanroom so it could easily be adapted into a bad screenplay with subplots revolving around international/industrial/environmental espionage (everyone should find one of these irresistible) and mistaken identity since everyone looks the same in the full-body cleanroom “bunny suits.” The original blue cover design was very cool, but some think the redesigned orange one looks pretty hot. The British engineering organization that is currently publishing it might be willing to change the cover again to something more provocative to increase sales.
I couldn’t find a contact address for the best-seller committee on the web, but maybe an industry professional like yourself can find it?
If someone goes to Amazon for the GaAs book (Kindle version only $120), they might just decide to buy my novel that’s next to it. The cover is much more intriguing. I’m positive that getting my backlist to best seller should help my Roman sales…or is that too big a genre shift?
