Counting to seven has never been harder.
Here’s the challenge. This drummer is playing to a beat with seven counts in each measure. Your challenge is to clap correctly on the downbeat of each new measure. Don’t lose concentration, or you’ll lose the game! The musical score is provided on the bottom of the screen. It doesn’t help.
Sometimes your creativity taps to the beat of a different drummer!

Talk about messing me up. Think I’ll just listen. Hahahaha!
7/4 or 7/8 are just terribly difficult time signatures in which to play or sing. This man is truly talented. For the most part, the audience did an impressive job of catching the downbeat.
I sang in a Christmas cantata in which the opening number had a number of 7/4 measures injected at key spots, and it was difficult for many of the singers to handle. We practiced that at length to get it right.
Also, another tune with which many are familiar – the theme from the original Mission Impossible television show was written in 5/4.
Fun with music!!
This is awesome. But, I have no rhythm. 🙁
As a music artist who is mostly used to 4/4 time, this was fun for me to play along with. Thanks for sharing!
Whew! This was so hard! I wanted very badly to clap when I wasn’t supposed to, lol. I got them all except the last few. This was a nice mental break!
Ha ha! I did alright at first by counting … and then it all fell apart.
more fun to simply watch him! He is good!!!
I thought the band did quite well on that. Me? Not so much, once he started playing….
