Last Friday, April 1st, Google announced a whole new way of enjoying ebooks while keeping many of the characteristics of physical books intact. Brilliant!

Isn’t that how product development really happens? 😉

“If I sniff really hard, it smells like old paper.” LOL!!! Love it.
I just can’t give up my physical books. I’ll read an e-book if that’s my only option, but I prefer, well, old paper!

This is awesome! I’ve rarely seen an April 1st “reveal” with a thought-provoking twist, so I appreciate the planning that went into this. I personally use ebooks for two things: (1) to read while I’m on the treadmill, because I can make the size bigger and it sits flat on the “dash” and (2) to get free ebooks that, if I like the story, I will later purchase in print–because a swipe and a backlit screen can’t even come close to the crinkle of paper and the gentleness on the eyes. Plus, full bookshelves look cooler.

I doubt that Real Books are real, but it’s an interesting concept. However I’d still prefer the old fashioned, paper kind.
