This video gives a whole new meaning to the phrase “two steps forward, three steps back.”
If you think your writing career is going backwards, maybe that’s a good thing?

I’d bet real money (well not really, because I don’t gamble) that Aaron and I have run on the same track. He’s from Lindsborg, KS, and as a youth, I ran track meets there. Indeed, he may be related to Roscoe Yoder who was my dorm-dad my freshman year of college.
I didn’t know that backward running was even a sport.
Steve, you find the most interesting things to post on Fridays.

This is amazing! I hardly have the stamina to run forward, much less backward. I had no clue people did that, especially competively.
It must take you hours to come across these things, but I’m glad you do.

My dad used to say when observing his grandchild dump in his diaper and get it up his own back, “Well, everyone has to be good at something!” That’s what this athlete did; he found his niche.

Correction to the above: I didn’t intend to imply that the backwards runner dumped in his diaper. Oh dear, open mouth, change feet. 🙁

I’m gonna pass on that, folks…….

Hi Steve,
I loved the video! I used to be a 100 meter sprinter back in my high school days, and I was fairly quick. I got my speed from my dad, who has stayed fit as he’s aged. He would challenge me to races, claiming that he could beat me running backward…and he did! Every time!
He’s 60 now, and I can happily announce that he can only beat me if he’s running forward (I’m still fairly quick at the ripe age of 32). Let’s just say, I hope I age like him! Thanks for the fun video!
