Steve, amazing.
Very talented young man.
As to time perfecting my writing craft, I try to spend half of my reading time reading craft books and articles, read Writers Digest and The Writer, and follow this blog and others.
Thanks.

I spend a great deal of time crafting, then re-crafting, then re-crafting the re-craft, then re-crafting the re-recraftment – and when I can come back to it for a fresh read and be caught up in it and moved by it, then it’s as perfect as I can make it. Perhaps someday, an editor will have at it and make it truly perfect. That will be an honor. And yes, along the way I read writers that leave me in the dust (happy to eat their dust) and take advice from people who know more than I do. It’s humbling how many of them there are. I may know my book’s subject, theme, content and heart better than anyone, but as for putting it into words, all wisdom, experience and knowledge are welcome. The book comes first; not me.
