Today is the last of the “Dog Days of Summer,” and major league baseball is in the home stretch. Thus, it is wonderfully appropriate to post today’s classic video, “Who’s on First?” by Abbott and Costello.

Classics are classics, no matter the age. I hope folks keep that in mind when looking at me! 🙂

My granddaughter always loved this routine. We would play-act and read the parts; it drove her grandma crazy.

No matter how old this is, I have to read it again every summer at least once! Lol it never fails to make me laugh and forget my troubles at least for a little while!! We all need to remember life ain’t all that bad! And there’s humor in life! Most of our lives are “dramedies” anyway!! Right??

Who’s on first, just who, you say?
The answer here defines my life,
for it comes fresh every day,
and on first stands my dear wife
who is waiting, as I write,
in hospital for surgeon’s blade
after a long and morphine’d night
in the valley of the shade,
and so I offer this request,
to every one and all of you,
pray God to bring her through this test
and that His love, so sure and true
enfolds her as the ether comes
with the warmth of Heaven’s suns.

Barb’s surgery, went well, and she’s waking up in the recovery room.
Thank you all for your prayers.

My son and his friend did this skit many years ago. Still cracks me up.
