Today’s barbershop quartet is worth every one of the twelve minutes it takes to watch.
It’s absolutely hilarious, and it’s made funnier because there is an explanation box on the screen to help the viewer understand the humor behind it all.
To top it off, the score of their music scrolls below as they sing. It is breathtaking to see the tight harmonies and hear them at the same time. Not many high tenors have a high D in their repertoire.

I fell in love when I spied ‘er,
and ’twas then I pledged my troth,
but I little knew that inside her
was a narcoleptic sloth
who, when I went down on one knee
to proclaim my passion deep,
smiled, and as she looked at me,
promptly fell into a sleep
that left me very nonplussed;
she snored like a contented pig
(I know that’s not gallant, nor just),
and then off slipped her auburn wig
and I beheld a sight that shone
brighter than Yul Brynner’s dome.
