This is one of the loveliest renditions I’ve heard, but I had no idea we’d come so far with human cloning.
I first heard this song when my son was six months old. Each time I heard it when he was in my arms, I thought about all the possibilities that stretched out before him, all my dreams for his future. I never really understood Mary until I held my own son and contemplated what awaited him in the years ahead. What a joy it must have been to raise Jesus, even knowing Simeon’s prophesy that someday a sword would pierce her own soul.
