I’ve said for years that the “separation” between the Christian and the general publishing markets is more of a hedge than a wall. And yet it can still be daunting to traverse.

There are lines quite hard to cross,
and I won’t be lying
to say that I am at a loss
on how to deal with dying.
I think my death will maybe come
in a savage wave of pain,
after which I’ll be among
the saints, and born again,
but the ‘pain’ bit has me scared
for I have seen so much,
and I don’t know if I’m prepared
for the reaper’s touch
even though I will abide
with Jesus on the other side.
Andrew, your poem reminded me of these lyrics… May they be a blessing to you! 🙏🏼
You’re Not Alone
It’s not an easy road to travel all alone.
The burden is too heavy for us to bear.
But God has sent us one to travel by our side,
To be our acting guide, to make the burden light,
To teach us how to fight – and how to win!
Jesus…
Chorus:
So give yourself to Him. Give Him your all.
You will not fall. He’ll hold you up.
He’ll share your cup. He’ll bear your load.
As He foretold… He’ll be your all.
Just hear His call – and hasten to obey.
He’ll show the way. You’re not alone.
He’ll take your filthy rags and in exchange
Will clothe you in His righteousness.
He knows your pain. He knows your fears,
Your hidden tears, your secret sins
You just need Him to make it right.
Jesus…
