Brilliant rendition of a great composition! Listening, I was struck anew at how this Bach piece, like so many others, has the structure of a good novel. The main theme starts off the music like a good hook in a story, and then the plot and characters come on, and I could hear the story unfold just as in a novel.
Right after listening to the Canadian Brass rendition, I listened to the same Toccata and Fugue played by a young German virtuoso on a magnificent and probably very old pipe organ. Glorious music, too.
