There are times my writing day
goes far, far worse than I can know,
and my words become a play
of Baby At The Hammer Throw.
They spin me round and round again
and with face the earth I meet
with an anguished yowl of pain
as I drop word-hammer on my feet,
and thus before the jeering masses
I cry and pout, oh yes, I do,
and think of all those writing classes
whose expense I now truly rue,
and wish I could vanish, retire
to suck upon my pacifier.

Thank you, Edward. Each week I look forward to a Fun Friday video and a related poem. What fun!
Oh, what fun! Thank you for posting this. I needed cuteness and giggles today.

Wonderful, Steve, and Oh, so timely.
Sadly, I found the French opening ceremony show this afternoon too bizarre and un-Olympicky to watch after 20 minutes. The last time France held the Games (1992, at Albertville), they did the same thing. Your video was the absolute perfect tonic after that! Thanks again.

I had a couple of the gymnasts and runners!
Now,…those kids could outrun me. I can’t outrun the bill collecter.
