Thank you! It’s true. The writing life isn’t always neat and tidy. It can be a wild ride.

Made me smile, reminds me to hang on tight, and enjoy the wild ride.

There is a trail called Flower
way out in Stevens Point,
and if you’ve got the power,
you can rule the joint.
The deep defiles and switchbacks,
the grab-a-front-wheel ruts,
the jumps that want full-out attacks
(oh, man, this bloke is NUTS!)
are something like my writing days
(without the need for body casts),
for there’s nowt but that what says
that the only fun that lasts
and is held so closely dear
is the joy that’s bought with fear.

Never a truer thing was said on the subject.
Sheri Dean Parmelee, Ph.D.
Well, that was fun!
Sharon K Connell
Picturing a skier might have been a better choice, but it was still fun. You’re are so writing about it being an example of the writer’s life at times. Thanks, Steve. Always good to laugh.

WOW! Who makes up all these things??!!!
In spite of it all, it is relaxing to see it end, I knew it had an end!!! 🙂
Keep up the good work!
Kristen Joy Wilks
Ha ha! That was awesome!
Jenny Fratzke
Readers are standing and shouting, “Bravo!” Thank you for the music and the drama.

The journey ends at the finish line

What resonated to me greatly was when the person got hit one direction and then hit back to the previous position. Those times when progress seems to evade me. Overall, I liked the freefalls. Lots of territory covered and oh, so clever.
