The Christian life’s discordant
as the world runs sinning by,
but it’s nonetheless important
to grit one’s teeth and try,
to not withdraw into despair,
nor to display hauteur;
it’s our job to just be there
and to display the pure
love God’s shown in our salvation
and spread that love around
through town and city, state and nation
until the very ground
cannot but help to make the choice
to praise His name in singing voice.
Great reminder, Andrew! Thank you!
Arrgh. As a pianist this makes me cringe. But he’s pretty talented to change keys so quickly.
I’m a pianist also lol! That actually does take talent lol albeit rather the kind that makes you want to grit your teeth!
That simultaneously set my teeth on edge and blew my mind. Huge talent.
Wow, that is so impressive!
That is very impressive. He is incredibly talented to be able to essentially change keys every measure! But as a pianist, it made my skin crawl! LOL!
Perfect metaphor for a long and happy marriage. Despite missteps along the way, keep going, eyes on the prize, and finish well.
It kinda sounds like our current singers at church switching keys. God bless them for their courage and perseverance. I should have expressed more gratitude to my piano accompanists during teen solo and ensemble competitions!
I wish I could play the piano… would not be concerned about it at all!!! Make a joyful noise the LORD tells us!!! Hallelujah!!
The Holy Book says :
“Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.” Psalm 100:1
It just needs to be “joyful.” It doesn’t say anything about being in tune. haha
I take that to heart every time I open my mouth to sing in worship 😉
