Are you one of those parents trying their hand at quarantine homeschooling? Enjoy today’s fun video!
I heard one shelter-in-place-homeschooling parent proclaim, “I hereby declare that elementary school teachers should forthwith be paid one million dollars . . . per day.” Hah!

One question. Why are Southerners so funny to non-southerners? Just wondering. All of that seemed perfectly reasonable to me.? Carolyn from New Orleans

Yes, I am suddenly distance schooling 2 teen boys and a tween boy. I’ve home-schooled before, but back then, I chose my own curriculum and knew what the heck was going on and how to access it! Our teachers are working crazy hard to try to get themselves and everyone else used to all these new platforms and things. Yes, they should be paid more!!! Teachers work hard, whether homeschool teachers or out in a classroom.

“Stay out of my Little Debbie’s stash!!!” I loved this!! Though I think that the dad in the video needed to find a better hiding place. Suddenly I have a craving for a Swiss Cake Roll . . . those things were a staple when I was in college.
Now I know what I’m missing as an essential hospital worker and church tech guy. Other than more work and stress, COVID changed nothing in my life. 🙂

Teaching at a distance is a heartwrenching challenge. The frail learners are falling apart. The habitual liars have their moms snowed and are stonewalling us all. The good students are forgotten as we light fires under some, put out fires from others, and prop up the weak.
Teachers’ physical presence with the students is often our greatest blessing and our greatest asset. That has been removed. So we wrestle with the wills only (not flesh and blood), and that is teaching at its hardest.

As a former homeschooling mom turned college professor, I found this video hysterical. Someone finally understands!!!!!

Where’s Granny? You get old Nana in there and she gives them her evil granny eye and the parents will learn fast. God’s peace to you and remember, all good, loving parents on occasion need to give a spanking. And God is a very adoring parent. …Chills run down my spine. 🙂

I am the home school granny who has been unable to be there to help because we are under lockdown, remember? My daughter called and said,”I get it now, Mom. I’m surprised I can read or ever made it to college. Thanksl.”

I homeschooled my 8th grade niece a few years ago. I GET the Me time!!! It’s 30 minutes of lesson and 2 hours of recoup…and Little Debbies 😉

Been there, felt like that many times. We homeschooled a large family and lived to tell about it. 😀

This is hysterical! I sent this to both my daughters-in-law – who are homeschooling. They’ll appreciate this, hands down!
