At a writers conference years ago, I met someone who claimed they had a worm in their backyard that whispered great truths. Plus this person claimed to be able to control the weather. You never know what an author might spring on you!

Thanks for the gift of laughter, Steve! I’m still smiling. My family discovered Bob Newhart’s clip of “Stop It!” awhile back, and sometimes we can’t resist saying those words to each other, mimicking him. Makes us laugh all over again. He’s one of the best!
