Wow Steve. I had both tears and chills by the time that was over. I don’t know how you find this stuff for Fun Fridays, but I’m please you do and I thank you for sharing with us.
The human voice was designed to worship God.
Perhaps a taste of worship when we gather in heaven.

Wow. What a way to calm my restless-busy spirit this morning. The endless “to do list” of the day with writing-chores-etc. fell by the wayside as I listened, reminding me to slow down-breath, and always put God at the top of my list for the day!

But it was also great to see the singers smiling. We’re told to sing joyfully, and I see so little joy in our worship.

Let us gather at the river
with coolers and our inner tubes,
to float down the long Forever
with our Millers as our lubes.
Let us cherish every moment,
for none of these will come again,
and bank them as defense ‘gainst torment,
for tomorrow brings the pain.
Let the mem’ry of shared joy
be bulwark ‘gainst the flames of hell,
and let us use this to employ
ability we save to tell
of God’s love, yet in furnace sweet
that keeps us safe, keeps us complete.
