Lord God, my Father, my King,
my Sovereign, my All,
I RETURN to you with all my heart,
I ENTER your presence with gratitude and joy,
I ESCAPE into your arms and nestle in the shadow of your wing.
DELETE the stain of worldly strife and wicked desires.
SHIFT my attention and priorities to reflect your wishes.
COMMAND me and bend me to your will.
CONTROL my impulse, intellect, and intentions
until I see no OPTION
and pursue no FUNCTION
but that which is utterly and constantly
pleasing to you.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
David
Excellent thoughts…really inspiring..djs.

Bob. That was so totally inspired! A clever – and creative – way to link our keyboards to a prayer. I won’t look at my keyboard the same again – ever! I hope it’s ok for me to share this with others (and with your name firmly attached to it).
DAMON J GRAY
I love it Bob.

Oh no! I can’t find my OPTION button?! Oh, wait; Mr. Bob must have been praying over his Apple(tm) computer. I found my ALT key, so that’ll work. 🙂 Loved it sir. Thanks; and happy writing.
Darla Grieco
Very clever! Amen.

Kristen Joy Wilks
Amen! I love it. So creative and such a good reminder to focus on the Lord!

Love this, Bob. I hope you won’t think it presumptious for me to take up the challenge…there’s metastatic tumours in my bones now, and the exercise of writing a keyboard prayer in the form of a sonnet cleared away a bit of the fear and hurt, and helped with the needed daily redefinition of faith.
I see no alternative,
there’s no escape in sight,
I can insert no palliative
to control the night
and back-space the rising fear
that with the dark returns;
at 3AM the end seems near,
and for a pause I yearn
that will somehow someway shift
this locked paradigm,
some bright function that will lift
my deletion born of time,
but I need enter trust, not roam,
and know that You will take me home.

Andrew, your words always touch and inspire; today’s continue to do so. You are more mindful than most of the reality we all face. Your awareness stirs our hearts to pray for you today and to prepare for our own reality. I look forward to meeting you at Home, one day. I understand the Light is on to welcome us.
Andrew Budek-Schmeisser
Holli, I’m just so honoured by your words…they are a bright light on a very hard and dark day.

Dear Andrew,
I pray for you as things turn dark, and I weep for your pain. I admire your fortitude in turning pain into poetry. May God bless and keep you close, and may He shine His light in your darkness.
Andrew Budek-Schmeisser
Catherine, thank you so much for this lovely afirmation, and for your prayers.
God’s light does shine here, through your kind words.

What a creative idea, Bob! The keys are no longer just utilitarian, but reminders of God’s counsel!
Catherine Allen
. . . they are no longer just things we touch, but things that touch us.

Thank you for this, Bob. I always enjoy your posts and am looking forward to hearing you speak at the Asheville conference in a couple of weeks.
Andrew, thank you for sharing words from your heart, too. I can’t imagine your struggle, but know that others are helping pray you through this.
OLUSOLA SOPHIA ANYANWU
Amen! I enjoyed reading this! God bless you, Bob.

Gee, Bob, I did not notice your use of the keyboard as a poetic device as I read your prayer. The prayer is awe-inspiring and worshipful and substantially similar to my own. It wasn’t until I read the comments that I saw the cleverness.
Brother Andrew, God loves you and so do I and the others on this board. None of us know the date and time set aside for our departure. I’ve had some near misses, and live in the moment I have, and rest in knowing that my departure time is known only to our Father. Press on toward the goal. We’ll get there.
Beth
This blesses and inspires me. It will become my prelude to creative writing. Thank you.

As journalists, we might need to fill in our art, however I accept at our center, we need to contact individuals with our words. We want to have an effect in individuals’ lives. We may endeavor to give perusers a little getaway or amusement to light up their days, support during testing times, or expectation when there doesn’t appear to be any in sight.
Warren
That about covers it.

I’m using simple keyboard which is easily available in market but your tips is amazing thanks
