With writers conferences being cancelled and many people under stay-at-home restrictions, I thought you might want to join a FREE Publishing Q&A Webinar that Thomas Umstattd Jr. and I will be doing this Friday, April 3rd, at 3 pm Central time.
We did one on March 20th with little promotion and had more than 200 people register from seven different countries! We spent two hours answering questions on writing, publishing, and book marketing.
I invite you to join us this Friday. Register now; and post your questions, then come back and vote on the questions others have asked. We will start answering the questions that have the most votes because someone else may be asking the same question as you.
Since, for now, you can’t attend an in-person writers conference (April 3 was to be the opening day of the Mt. Hermon Christian Writers Conference, for example), focus on what you can do, like learning from home.

If I use Grammery in Word, do I need to hire an editor?
Steve Laube
If I may suggest? Never let a computer do your editing for you.

Your post cites 2 PM central time. The sign-up page has 4 PM. Which is correct?
Steve Laube
Actually we are both wrong. 🙂
The time is 3pm Central time. I’ve corrected the post accordingly.
That means:
1:00 Pacific
2:00 Mountain
3:00 Central
4:00 Eastern

If I already have my book typeset (in In-Design), where can I find resources to do the final uploads to Amazon etc?
ISBN: Is there a less expensive way to get ISBN numbers other than through Bowker?
Steve Laube
You have to export your files to a PDF. Then upload the PDF to Amazon.
Here is a link for that info: https://kdp.amazon.com/en_US/help/topic/G202145060
Amazon had a complete guide at the same link in the left hand column to answer all uploading questions.
As for ISBNs. Read these instructions on Amazon’s site for complete information:

Questions are intended for the Webinar on Friday. 🙂
