Back before Captain Cook sailed the Seven Seas, I went to high school in Honolulu. (I know, someone’s gotta do it.) Today’s video was something I never knew about the state of Hawaii.
Enjoy the trivia!

In Hawaii, soda cans
have their shape for a reason,
and there’s a reason Jesus’ Hands
are pierced, that He may receive our treason.
His Hands are holed to hold our hearts,
which we’ve adorned with spikes of sin,
and by His Love and gracious arts,
He works to find ways in
that hole and spike will join to make
a bond that won’t be broken,
and that our cold hard pride-mistake
will come to be the token
by which only our Lord can save
us from our deep and self-dug grave.
One of your best, Andrew. Thank you.
Thank YOU, Karen.
I must admit that, the one time I went to Hawaii, I was looking at the ocean, not the top of my soda can. Next time, I will because I can.
Wow!
So much to know and retain
for this old brain.
But the beauty of Hawaii …
And every afternoon the gentle rain…
That is what will in memory remain!
