Fun Fridays – August 3, 2018

If any writer did this during their writer’s conference appointment we would have to call the paramedics for the editor or agent. Remember to be kind to the poor editor.

And she is 13 years old.

If that wasn’t enough…here she is at age 11.

      Love it.

But this is more my speed:

I have always wanted to have an agent just … like … you,
I have always wanted to publish a BOOK! with YOU!
      Sooo …
(throws shoe in the air, catches it)
Let’s make the most of this beautiful day
Since we’re together, we might as well say
      (puts on cardigan)
Would you be mine, would you be mine,
Won’t you be … my agent?

That just blew me away. Her performance and the crowd’s response brought tears to my eyes every time I watched it.

Sometimes late at night when sleep evades me, and the muse is at rest I watch these (which is funny because I would deny it).

So, I have seen this and she is amazing. Takes me right back to the Janice Joplin days.

I saw one that I listened to several times because it was amazing. Nearly 40 years old who began with perhaps one of the most difficult… well I don’t want to spoil it. Here is.

Despite the song, this blew me away. Now if only I had the writing talent that she has as a singer. I saw this and said, ‘I have a lot of work to do.’

It was awesome. You don’t need to know Spanish to understand. Only need a wee bit of grace for the song.

A hug and a cry with an editor or agent — what’s not to like about that? But I don’t think I’ll try it, no matter what kind of response my pitch gets.
