As a former literacy coach to K-3 students, I find this very funny. So many phonics rules and then the words that are outliers to the rules.

This is just too funny. I often post to my Facebook group about the English language. I had to add this. You’ve gotta love the English language, no matter where they stole it from. LOL
I showed it to my husband, who I don’t recall ever hearing laughing. He smiles broadly, grins, lets loose a “huh” as he smiles, but not out and out laughter. He didn’t laugh this time either but watching this brought out that broad smile and near chuckle. A sure sign it’s a keeper and funny.
I laughed out loud.
