Oh my goodness. This video is a perfect metaphor for the author who suddenly has to master everything in order to build their platform–Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, blogging, newsletters, websites–all while writing their book, working their day job, supporting their family, and more!
But the writer does at some point make their publisher jump through a few hoops too!
Looks about right. LOL
What most authors don’t realize is it takes the type of time and effort that this girl puts in to perfect the craft of writing. Thanks for sharing.
Wow! She’s amazing!
Steve, Kathryn, Melany, and D.H.,
Truth! A lot of work to get to that ‘amazing’ and the hoops we all jump through. I think of: book, synopsis, query, first 10 pages, and/or cover letter, proposal, more pages and each agent is different!
Then… wait while your overwhelmed agent(s) plod through your work should it pass muster. Mustard, please pass…
I have a meme of a woman at a desk, her paperwork piled so high one can barely see her. I call it ‘the agent’s desk.’ Also, it could be called, ‘the author’s research…’
My takeaway? She didn’t do everything perfectly but you hardly noticed because her focus and energy were always moving forward. So, we’re not aiming for perfection. We’re aiming for always moving forward.
You’re right! I didn’t notice anything wrong. Great observation for both pointing that out and the insight.
oh my word! what a marvel!!! amazing!
Incredible!
Definitely looks how I feel on a lot of days.
I guess I’m out of excuses after seeing that!
