My husband and I happened to watch this clip together and laughed until we had tears in our eyes. Not that Hitler himself was exactly a funny man, of course, but whoever wrote the subtitles did it brilliantly. A Fun Friday indeed!
This is not how I wanted to start my Friday writing hour. When this news first hit my email box, I thought publishing houses could simulate mega churches. Statistics show that members of mega churches leave after a year, no personal attention, no relationships. Some return to smaller churches to be fed, led and loved, while others fall by the waste side.
In the video, the line “Call my agent,” gave me the feeling of calling a pastor—the shepherd— who’s to busy to talk, doesn’t even know your name because your tithing check doesn’t have the correct digits, you have no position or title in the church or on your job, or maybe you haven’t genuflected before him with your worries but presented new worship ideas devoid of tradition.
