Today’s video is a bit of a history lesson taught by a couple of archaeologists.
They found what is believed to be the oldest full sentence written in the Canaanite language, 3,700 years old. To put this in historical context, this would be around 1,700 B.C., the biblical time of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

I love closed captioning. The Late Bronze Age becomes part of West Side Story as the Late Bronx Age, in which combs are used to remove the lies from the hair and beard.
But seriously, good old Q from James Bond being named after the monkey with his tail…well, he does like to monkey around in his lab, yeah?

No, I do not comb my beard,
t’would be an affection
to place me deep among the weird,
and sully reputation
as a Wild Man Of The West,
unkempt in leather chaps
who is at his very best
beyond the edge of maps.
And yes, the hair gets knotted,
and gritty in the breeze,
but Sheilas are besotted
(though they clear out when I sneeze),
and the lice that ride with me
validate my use of The Royal We.
FABULOUS.
How interesting. The closed captions really helped in understanding this fascinating video. Thank you for sharing!
