While not a new video, the message in today’s presentation is so powerful that I had to share it.
The title is “Every life has a story … if we only bother to read it.”
The message cuts to the core of why we work so hard in the publishing industry to tell stories, both fiction and nonfiction. To bring redemption, hope, and new life to those around us. You never know who will be touched by your words.
This video was created as a training piece for Chick-fil-A. Please share it with your friends.
And there are times I really
have nothing I can say.
I ain’t touchy-feely,
and mostly that’s OK,
but sometimes it’s brought home to me
that standing proud, apart
in not what God has meant to be,
I’m here to share my heart
with the people that I pass
by on a crowded street;
it’s not that they are looking-glass
for me, but that I meet
in those whom I would fain disdain
the only One who heals my pain.
Well done. Effective.
I cried.
Me too.
Me too.
Oh, my goodness, what a touching video. Thanks for the reminder that there’s a story behind every person we meet.
Wow. Thanks for sharing it.
Telling stories is a big part of what it means to be human. God bless all story tellers, including all of us here.
I have chills. And I may want to get a part-time job with Chick-fil-A just for the ministry opportunities. I’ll pray on it.
Raises one’s consciousness level to be more aware of how others may be experiencing life’s journey at certain points in time.
Oh my, I’m crying! It’s easy to focus on my own story and forget that others have their story too. Thanks for sharing.
Wonderful Post! Thank you!
We actually ate there the day the doctor told me I was cancer free after a year of treatment
Cool! Congrats–our Heavenly Father is fantastic.
Congratulations Neil on cancer free. It’s is quite a journey. And now every day is a blessing.
An awesome introduction to your blog post (I just signed up last night.) Loved the message.
Yes, the people in our fiction stories often sprout from the lives of those we’ve known–or ourselves. To people a story with believable people in believable situations isn’t hard when we see how our writing does exactly what this video does. Thanks for the touching reminder. I’ve respected Chick-fil-A for decades.
Thank you, Steve. A home run today. Every life has a story, and we book people might modify the tag line: “…if only we will WRITE it.”
I will surely share this with many.
Beautiful. Thank you for reminding me to look at and listen to others. And not live solely inside my head.
That was a great video! It reminds me of the Steve Green song People Need the Lord. God gave us a story to tell to the nations – that reminds me of another song.
What a good video. So touching.
Oh, to simply gather them all together, to share how much the Lord loves each and every one of us! Those who share the good news have a huge but wonderful opportunity to lighten the load in the hearts of so many!!! What a blessing!!
