So many resolutions. So many possibilities. So many dashed hopes.
In the interest of avoiding disappointment, here is my list of New Year’s Resolutions I am likely to keep:
1.) Watch more television.
2.) Buy more awesome clothes that go with red lipstick.
3.) Add to my collection of black pointy-toed spiked-heeled shoes.
4.) Increase my collection of black high-heeled platform shoes.
5.) Do less housework.
Well, maybe I shouldn’t keep any of these. But my hope for the new year is to show everyone I care about even more:
Yes, more of these than ever before.
This is actually a very selfish resolution. For when we do these things, the likelihood of being rewarded in kind is great.
Happy New Year!
Love your brevity and honesty! Your very first one made me laugh, because I am seriously resolving to cut out all television during the week to help me be wiser with my time and available for the Lord. Feel free to read about it on my blog.
My resolution is to finish what I’ve started – two novels. One, a historical romance, the other, a sequel to my first contemporary romance. I’ve been off the wagon for a few months, and I’m clamoring to get back on!
Although adding to my shoe collection may end up on the list, as well . . . 🙂

Love this fresh post on resolutions Tamela.I have already this year been a recipient of your kindness. So nice to talk with you yesterday! I hope to be sensitive to the prompting of the Holy Spirit in many of these same areas. May your New Year be overflowing with blessings in kind. 🙂

I love this! For the first time in many years, I made no resolutions. I think I’ll spend some time on monthly goals instead. Happy New Year!
I would like to be a better witness to Lord this year.
Please pray for me!
Statistics show most people break their resolutions the first week, so you’ve got some shopping and resting to do and some TV to watch! Hurry.

My resolution for the year is to stop in every shoe store and try on high heels to my heart’s desire–then throw on my flats and thank the good Lord I can still walk!
Seriously, I’m resolved to focus on relationships this year; with my Lord; with my family and friends and with my editors, agent and readers.

I am so blessed by all of your comments! You have really made me smile. Abigail, I will pray specifically as you asked. Happy New Year to you all, and may God richly bless each of you!
No resolutions for me, either; just annual goals.
I have decided to watch more movies IN the theater (I recently found a cheap theater and if I try to watch movies at home, I am easily distracted by everything). Also, I would like to lose 20 pounds and publish one article for profit. Wait, I should say, I have decided to lose 20 pounds and to get an article published.
