With Thanksgiving Day observed in America this month, and with the birth of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, celebrated in December, today is a wonderful time to contemplate gratitude.
As writers, we can be thankful that:
in America, we can express our faith in private and public.
Christian publishing exists.
we can read.
our literacy rate is high.
God gave us quick and sharp minds to express our thoughts.
we have the energy to persevere.
we possess the courage to send our work to others for review.
tools to write are available.
readers support our writing.
readers are waiting for our words.
God will honor our work, even if His favor doesn’t seem quick to arrive.
What can you add? What are you thankful for today and every day?

I’m thankful that as writers we can select the genre we want to write.
Indeed, we are blessed to not have to look over our literary shoulder with fear of repercussions for our words…
I’m thankful for critique groups, writing groups, and the support they offer.
I’m thankful for like-minded writers and the comradery we share.
In addition to everything on your list, I’m also thankful for my wonderful Agent 🙂 and the Steve Laube Agency!
In addition to everything you listed, I am also thankful for my wonderful Agent 🙂 and
for the Steve Laube Agency.
I am thankful for the writing process which organizes our thoughts and in Christian Fiction exploring how others might consider a Christian journey.
It is great that God kept us alive till this day despite all the evil going on around us. I remember when one stretch of road from the city where I reside to another was infested with kidnappers until later this year their horrible activities were curtailed. We give God all the praise. Thank you for raising this topic. Perhaps if I were kidnapped I wouldn’t be writing this. The Scripture says, “Rejoice in the Lord always and I again I say rejoice.”
