I apologize. The correct term would be mute I believe. (It does mess up the convenient alliteration.)
We all trip over new politically correct terms. Especially us old codgers. (I’m assuming that term is still okay.)
Thank you Mr. Laube. It was not my intent to be snarky or to preach. I have worked in the Deaf community for 15 years, and I have seen the hurt that word has caused to kids and adults alike. I appreciate your openness to dialogue.
